Terms

Plain terms.

You buy Ember once and you own your copy. Here's the fair print, in plain language.

1. What you're buying

For a one-time payment of $29 (USD), you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive license to download and use Ember on the computers you own or control, for personal use. There's no subscription, no recurring fee, and no account.

2. What you own

You own your copy of the app and everything it creates on your machine — your conversations, your memory, your data. We have no access to any of it. We retain the intellectual property in the Ember software itself.

3. What you agree not to do

Please don't resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publish the Ember binary, and don't try to pass it off as your own. Using Ember to do something illegal is, of course, on you.

4. Updates

Updates within this version line are included free. We may release future major versions separately. We may also improve, change, or discontinue features over time.

5. Refunds

Covered by our 30-day refund policy. If Ember isn't for you, email us within 30 days for a full refund.

6. No warranty

Ember is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. It runs local AI models, which can be wrong, clumsy, or unpredictable — don't rely on its output for anything safety-, legal-, medical-, or finance-critical without checking it yourself.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Ember is limited to the amount you paid for it. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages.

8. Contact & governing law
